LoGen - A Short History
A Swimming Idea
The two prinicple owners of LoGen met through their children’s swim team. In 2005 they got to know each other by swimming in the same Masters Swim club at 5:30 in the morning. The Occupational Medicine Practice Medical Director, Dr. Anthony P. Reeve, asked the 25 year veteran of the computer industry, Philip Regenie, if there were any programs out there that were tablet based that would work for his occupational medicine clinics. Phil looked on the web and told the doctor that there were 65 such programs. Tony told Phil that he had looked at them and none of them would work for him. Tony said,"Can you make a program that I can use effectively on a tablet pc for my clinic?" Phil said he would try, and LoGen was born.
From the ground up, Transcription Medical Management Software, has been designed to work the way clinics work, the way doctors work, with familiar programs and almost no training.

The Transcription Medical Management System helps improve clinic efficiency starting with the most valuable players first and working it's way down to the administrative staff. In other words, we have focused on the clinician’s time first. In 2005 we set out to create a system that:
- Illiminates transcription fees
- Illiminates after patient contact work
- Provides immediate feedback to employers
- Provides immediate quality documentation (holds up under litigious scrutiny) to insurers
- Clinicians spend no more than 6 minutes on a follow-up and 12 minutes on an initial visit
We have more than achieved all our goals: - We have totally illiminated any need for a transcription
- We have illiminated after patient contact transcription
- Our documentation is done when the patient leaves the clinic and is sent using email to both the employer and the insurer
- Our documentation is provided in a well structured format within Microsoft Word with embedded pictures, diagrams, and YOUR CLINICIANS OWN WORDS of explanation
- We have reduced the time it takes for a clinician to write an evaluation to an average of less than 5 minutes for all evaluations with most visit documetation taking less than one minute.
In addition to the above goals we have illiminated the need for your administrative staff to distribute and collect patient data using a registration form. We provide a multi language Patient Auto Check In system where the patient enters their own data. In addition to relieving your administrative staff of the data entry requirements, patients are immediately engaged and at the end of their interaction a patient record is waiting for the doctor to open and start the visit.
